Plumber in Hernando, MS

Hernando is the historic county seat of DeSoto County, and its plumbing tells the story of a town that has grown up around a courthouse square. The square itself is surrounded by older homes with original plumbing, while the family subdivisions fanning out along the highways bring newer construction and modern expectations. Hernando homeowners take pride in their properties, whether they are preserving classic fixtures near Commerce Street or updating a master bath in a newer build like McIngvale.

That mix is exactly what we are built for. In the older homes near downtown Hernando, we do a lot of careful repipe work, fixture upgrades, and sewer camera inspections to find out what is really happening in aging cast iron lines. In the newer subdivisions, the work shifts to water heater replacements, drain cleaning, and the occasional backflow test for an irrigation system. Tankersley Plumbing brings 25 years of local master plumber experience to both, and owner Shad Tankersley leads every job.

Hernando is also a working town with thriving commercial lease spaces, and we support those business owners with tenant build out plumbing and lease space line modifications. When a new tenant takes over a space, we relocate fixtures, connect restrooms and break rooms, and bring supply and drain lines up to code so the business can open on schedule. Our commercial work is build outs and lease spaces, not commercial new construction, and that focus keeps us sharp on exactly the work Hernando businesses need.

Remodel plumbing is a big part of what we do in Hernando, and it is where lead technician Casey Russell shines. With over 10 years of residential installation experience, Casey handles fixture relocation, tub and shower sets, and the precise trim work that makes a remodeled bathroom or kitchen look right and work right. He works alongside Shad, so every remodel gets master plumber oversight from rough in to final.

Hernando sits in our core service area, so when a water heater fails or a drain backs up we are close by and quick to schedule. We are a small, local team of four, which means you talk to the people doing the work and the owner answers for every job. That is the standard we have held since 2001, and it is why Hernando homeowners and business owners keep our number saved.

Because Hernando sits right on the DeSoto County line with quick access to both I-55 and I-69, a lot of our customers here have ties across the state line too, and our dual licensing in Tennessee and Mississippi makes that easy. We can handle the Hernando home and the Memphis area rental with the same crew and the same master plumber oversight, which saves our Hernando customers from juggling two plumbers. It is one of the quiet benefits of working with a small, locally based team that knows both sides of the line.
